Leather's surface has natural pores
and crevices in which particles of dirt and other matter can
collect. Cleaning the surface regularly will reduce this effect
and help prolong the life of the leather.
Leather can typically
be cleaned by simply washing it with a mild soap using a soft
cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Simply spray a General
Purpose Mix of SunBrite onto the cloth with lukewarm water, and
then wipe down your leather.
(General Purpose Solution - Mix 1
to 2 Tablespoons of All Purpose Cleaner Paste to 22 Ounces Hot
Water)
Costs less than $0.65 per bottle!
The color pigment on
leather furniture is either applied to the surface like paint or
the hide is treated with aniline dye. Spills soak up quickly and
become stains. Remove all spills immediately and clean the spill
area with mild soap and water again using the same method as
mentioned above.
One tip for
removing spots from leather is to dip a cotton swab into
SunBrite All Purpose Cleaning Paste. This can work for removing
ink spots as well as numerous other stains.
You can also
work SunBrite Paste into the spot with a soft cloth, and if
soils remain after working it in, let it sit for a few hours.
Come back and apply a little more paste, work it in and wipe
clean.
Water spots can
be removed from leather by moistening the area again with a
little water, let it dry or gently blow dry. Never place leather
in the sun to dry.
* When spot cleaning, always pretest care products in a hidden
area to make sure they are compatible with the leather. *
